Founded in 1996 by Anthony (Tony) Cordato, the boutique legal firm of Cordato Partners is located in the central business district of Sydney.

 

With his experienced team, Anthony focuses upon four areas of practice:

  • Property (Real Estate) law, such as transactions, financing, leases, short-term rentals, joint ventures, property options, loans, unit trusts, tree disputes, caveat and other property disputes and property taxes.

  • Business Advice, such as buying and selling businesses, collecting debts, defending loan recovery claims, asset protection, wills and probate,.

  • Travel Industry Advice, such as Terms & Conditions, Liability Waivers, Privacy Statements, defending traveller claims against travel agents, tour operators, airlines, cruise lines., resorts and hotels.

  • Vendor Finance for buying and selling property and businesses, such as rent to own, payment by instalments, sale with a carry-back loan and delayed settlements.

 

Assisting Tony in the practice is Fiona, an experienced litigation lawyer, and Sally, Patricia and Maree, experienced conveyancing assistants.

These days, almost all of communications are by telephone, email, zoom and facetime, and signing is by DocuSign. What this means is that clients can have their work done no matter where they are. Clients are always welcome to comer into the office for face-to-face discussions and for signing, The office is nearby Wynyard Station.

 

Tony is a prolific writer and presenter.

  • Tony has written all of the articles on the website, and most have been published on the legal website, Lexology, which is the most comprehensive source of international legal updates, analysis and insights, in the world, publishing articles every day from leading law firms worldwide.

  • Tony contributes the Australian chapter in The Real Estate Review, which provides an invaluable overview of how key real estate markets across the globe operate.

  • Tony is a guest lecturer at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS Business School), on the Legal Dimension of Risk Management in the Management

  • Tony has presented at international conferences of the International Bar Association, and is a member of the Real Estate Section, Leisure Industries Section, Aviation Law and Art, Cultural Institutions and Heritage Law Committees.

  • Tony has contributed a chapter ‘Safe Travel: The Legal Duty of Care to Keep Tourists Safe’ in the book: ‘Tourist Health, Safety and Wellbeing in the New Normal’ (2021) Springer

  • Tony has been interviewed on ABC Radio and on A Current Affair (ACA)
